Correlation Between Clinical Features of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with CT Findings of Fatty Liver Patients

People with fatty liver disease are at major risk of cirrhosis and malignancies. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between diabetes features on computed tomography (CT) using Hounsfield units for spleen. The research was conducted in Jeddah Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department CT scan department from March 2018 until 2020. A total 50 patients were chosen randomly, males (26) females (24) ranging age 31 80 years old. Descriptive statistics body mass index recorded spleen; main enzymes Alanine aminotransferase (ALT), Gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), albumin, bilirubin, direct which measured analyzed Statistical Package Social Sciences program, version 23. We found a significant ALT bilirubin spleen HU p value < 0.017 0.073, respectively; mean standard deviation other GGT, segment 3 left 45.48 ± 7.077 HU, 45.00 7.797 36.67 5.776 37.23 4.885 respectively. concluded that is associated type 2 mellitus symptoms such as high no association HU.
